2009 Florida ART Film Festival

The 2009 Florida ART Film Festival will be held at the Acrosstown Repertory Theatre in Gainesville, FL. Films directed, written, or produced by Florida film makers will be showcased during this weekend event.

For those submitting films to the festival competition

To qualify as a "Florida film maker," you must either currently reside in Florida, or have been trained in Florida.  Films must have a director, or a producer, or a writer who meets the requirement to be eligible for submission.

Categories

Prizes

One film in the narrative category and one film in the documentary category will win a grand prize of $500.

The top three films in each category will be shown at the festival.

Submission deadline: November 30, 2008 (postmarked by)

Student film submissions must provide documentation of the student's active enrollment in an educational institution.

Films may be submitted in rough cut; however, the films need to be complete enough for the judges to make clear decisions. All rough cut submissions must include a detailed list of the missing elements of the film, and a description of what is expected to be added for the final cut.  If your original submission is a rough cut, do not submit a newer cut of the film at a later date. If your film is selected to be screened during the film festival, you will be contacted to provide a final cut of your film for the festival screening.

Film submissions must be provided on DVD or VHS tapes in NTSC format. DVD is preferred.

All non-English film submissions must include subtitles.

Please include with all submissions

  1. Completed Certification of Entrant form
  2. Completed Festival Application form
  3. DVD or VHS copy of film (including additional information as necessary for the rough cut)
  4. Submission fee payment

Submission fees and tickets can be made via paypal or by check or money order. Checks and money orders should be made out to "Acrosstown Repertory Theatre" and mailed to the post office box address with the entry form and film. For paypal submit to acrosstownrep@gmail.com and note in your payment whether for submission or tickets and if a submission, for which film and under what category.
