What made you decide to start acting/working backstage?
I am good at hiding. I feel that translates.

Who is your favorite co-star?
Lois.

Do you have a fun backstage story?
No.

If you could meet any person, living or dead, who would it be and why?
Jesus. I feel if I could just talk with him, I could finally break the Zodiac Killer case.

Which one?

What is your favorite part of the play?
I enjoy my hat.

How did you prepare for this role?
I watched Varsity Blues and studied James Van Deer Beek and Paul Walker for the accent work.

Do you feel personally connected to your character?
Only in the sense that I’m like him.

What was the hardest thing to do when preparing for this production?
Learning new things about my cast mates.

Do you have a life philosophy?
The truth is out there.

Name: Leigh Dorsett
Role: Hyacinth, the rightful heir to Fat Daddy’s will
Hometown: Gainesville, FL (who would need to leave such a cute place)
Favorite Food: Pizza. They deliver so I don”t actually have to go out and see people
Hobbies: Reading, and watching murder mystery shows
Favorite Play or Musical: Chicago, it’s just so catchy “he had it coming….he only had himself to blame”

What made you decide to start acting/working backstage?
The theater has always been a comfort to me in times of trouble. It’s my space to be free.

Who is your favorite co-star?
Ajax, because I really feel he has been helping me come out of my shell and he really amazes me sometimes.

Do you have a fun backstage story?
Well there was this one time a few years ago when me, Blanche, Lois, and Ajax were at auditions and they were trying to get me to hit on this guy but I’m not real great with people unless I’m on stage so Ajax went to go talk to him but he said something that Ajax didn’t like and he totally went off on him and Blanche kicked him from the auditions. Turned out later Ajax had forgotten he went on a date with him.

If you could meet any person, living or dead, who would it be and why?
I mean I definitely think I’d like to meet Queen Elizabeth because she is such a strong, respected woman.

Can you give us any hints to solve the mystery?
Literally everyone has a motive.

What is your favorite part of the play?
Oh I really love the script… but my castmates tend to forget they are on stage or try to draw attention, so it’s always a different show. Not once has a scene gone the same way twice. Improv is fun though so it’s totally fine!

How did you prepare for this role?
I read lines a lot with Ajax.

Do you feel personally connected to your character?
Yeah, I mean I guess. She is pretty confident, and I’d like to channel that in my everyday life.

What was the hardest thing to do when preparing for this production?
Getting comfortable holding the pistol was a big step up for me. Guns scare me a little.

Do you have a life philosophy?
The show must go on. I mean, when you get twists and turns you adapt and go with it.
