OPEN AUDITIONS: “Comfort Phone” & “Do You See Me?”

Open Auditions:

Sunday & Monday, January 17 & 18
Comfort Phone
by Matt Goode, directed by Sunny Sky Hughes-Trinity
Do You See Me?
by Beth-Anne Blue, directed by Gabriel Hughes-Trinity
Performance dates for both: March 11-27, 2016

Join in performing the world premieres of two  locally-written one-act plays!.

In Comfort Phone we look at sanity and the supernatural as someone who recently lost their mother receives calls from her and explores that subject with their therapist. In Do You See Me?, at a woman’s funeral, family and racial issues are explored as authorities try to determine what happened to her amid secrets some are willing to take to their own graves. Adult themes.

Auditions will be held at 7:00pm on Sunday & Monday, January 17 & 18, at the theater– 619 South Main Street in the Baird Hardware complex. You don’t have to be present both nights, but it doesn’t hurt. Expect cold readings from a provided script; dress comfortably and be prepared to move. Seeking a racially diverse cast.

Although auditions, by their very nature, require that performances and their suitability to any individual role be judged, we won’t judge YOU (except maybe to tell you how awesome you are). You’ll find that the people here are very warm and welcoming, and happy to read with you, whether it’s your first time on stage or your thousandth. Backstage help is needed, too– please contact us if you would like to get involved!

If cast you will be compensated by the roar of applause and the joy of being part of the Acrosstown family 🙂

We look forward to seeing you at auditions for Comfort Phone and Do You See Me?!
