Don’t be shy, you were born to be a star! Join us at open auditions for Florida Man on September 15 & 16, 2019

A Florida Man, racked with guilt, digs up his dead father to give him the proper Viking funeral he always wanted. Inhabiting the world of the Florida Man headlines that have consumed the nation’s attention, this dark comedy by Michael Presley Bobbitt is a complement to his recent hit Sunset Village, set against the backdrop of the wild and rowdy folklore of the Sunshine State.

Auditions will be held at 7:00 pm on Sunday & Monday, September 15 & 16, 2019, at the theater– 619 South Main Street in the Baird Hardware complex, next door to Akira Wood and across from Heartwood Soundstage.

No prepared monologues required– expect cold readings from a provided script.

Performance dates are Thursdays through Sundays, October 24- November 10, 2019.

William “Billy” Crud – A Florida man in his 30s. Eccentric and bright with an infectious home-spun charm

Gina Griffin – A receptionist at a shady law firm, she has a night school GED and a weirdly extensive knowledge of the law

Webb Jones – An ardent conspiracy theorist who is certain 9/11 was an inside job, and pretty sure that birds aren’t real, this gifted auto mechanic is one of Billy’s oldest friends
