Waiting for Godot in the News!

Between Godot, Tommy and columbinus auditions, we’ve been so busy that we neglected to acknowledge here all the great press Godot received (we did mention it on our facebook page– are we friends yet?)

Reviews:

“Don’t wait much longer to meet Godot, it’ll end soon. But from all indications, this is going to be a year of Gainesville theater that is worth waiting for.” We couldn’t agree more!

Check out Michael McShane’s thoughts on Waiting for Godot! Gosh, I hope it doesn’t give away too much… but how could it, even if it did?

“You must see this show while you still can. It is quite alive on that stage.

“Well, what are you waiting for?”

“Compelling.” Don’t take our word for it, read Gator GLOB’s review!

Lastly, here’s what Karen R. had to say about the first Sunday’s show (thanks for writing us, Karen– we love getting messages like these!):

“Attended today’s matinee. Have read this play and tried watching play on YouTube. Didn’t enjoy either. Too dark and dry. However, must say that Acrosstown Repertory did a wonderful interpretation. I cannot say how much I truly enjoyed the show! Thanks to all the cast and crew for a wonderful afternoon.”

Previews:

Gainesville Downtown:

“The Acrosstown Repertory Theatre is staging Samuel Beckett’s absurd classic beginning this week. According to director Jessica Arnold, it’s a play that might make you question your very existence.”

The Wait is Over for A-town’s ‘Waiting for Godot’

Gainesville Sun:

“Tucked away in a room at the historic Baird Center, the Acrosstown Repertory Theatre waits.

“And its actors are ready to dare you to think.”
