Auditions

Don’t be shy, you were born to be a star!

Although we are a repertory company, we do hold open auditions for shows. Auditions usually take place two-to-three months before a show opens. Auditions are normally held on a Sunday and a Monday at 7pm, sharp, at the Acrosstown– 619 South Main Street in the Baird Hardware complex (see map, below). You don’t have to be present both nights, but it helps. Expect cold readings from a provided script; dress comfortably and be prepared to move. Exact requirements are up to each director.

Although auditions, by their very nature, require that performances and their suitability to any individual role be judged, we won’t judge YOU (except maybe to tell you how awesome you are). You’ll find that the people here are very warm and welcoming, and happy to read with you, whether it’s your first time on stage or your thousandth.

Current auditions (if there are no current auditions listed below, please check back at another time):

We also post audition notices on our facebook events page…. but if you can’t wait to talk to a director about your dream role, just pop us a note to INFO at ACROSSTOWN dot ORG. We’d love to hear from you!
