OPEN AUDITIONS: May 15 & 16– Twelfth Night

Welcome to one of the Bard’s silliest comedies– Twelfth Night, or What You Will— rife with mistaken identities, cross-dressing and romantic intentions gone terribly wrong. And YOU could have a starring role!

Don’t be afraid, nobody is expected to be a Shakespearean scholar going in, but you’ll certainly be a force to reckon with by the time the show goes up (July 15-31). Everything from leads to walk-ons available. Come, audition, and bring your sense of humor— we’re going to have a lot of fun!

Auditions will be held at 7:00pm on Sunday & Monday, May 15 & 16, at the theater– Acrosstown Repertory, 619 South Main Street in the Baird Hardware complex. You don’t have to be present both nights, but it doesn’t hurt. Expect cold readings from a provided script (likely both Shakespeare and a modern translation)– there’s no need to memorize a monologue– and dress comfortably.

Although auditions, by their very nature, require that performances and their suitability to any individual role be judged, we won’t judge YOU. If cast, you will be compensated by the roar of applause and the joy of being part of the Acrosstown family.

If you have an interest in helping with technical aspects of the show, please send a note to volunteer@acrosstown.org mentioning your interest!
