Our Intro to Dialects class will review the International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA), and the basics of British Received Pronunciation (RP) and General American (GA).
This 3-hour intensive will give you some basic tools based on Paul Meier’s Accents & Dialects for Stage and Screen.
Bring a pencil and some paper to take notes.

Bring a 30 second - 1 minute monologue in a dialect and learn how to identify the sound changes and transcribe into IPA. There’s no need to memorize the monologue.
